Panchakarma Treatment

Panchakarma is Ayurveda’s primary overall body purification and detoxification treatment. It Measures Five therapeutic procedures for treating disease as well as preventive therapy for good health. These five procedures are Vaman

(Therapeutic Emesis), Virechan (Therapeutic Purgation), Asthapan Vasti (Therapeutic Decoction Enema), Anuvasana Basti (Therapeutic oil enema), Nasya Karma (Nasal Administration of Medication). These five therapies help remove deep rooted illness-causing toxins from the body along with balancing the doshas (energies that govern all biological functions).

When the Medicines does not gives an appropriate and satisfactory result on the complicated pathological phenomenons of the body, alone Panchakarma or Panchakarma associated with proper medication will work as a miracle.

Along with Pro-motive and preventive health care Panchakarma is also an excellent Rejuvenation Health Care.

Vaman

The kapha toxins accumulated in the body and the respiratory tract are effectively removed by Vamana, one of the five therapies of Panchakarma in Ayurveda. Vamana is therapeutic vomiting, which is a medicated emesis therapy.

Advantages of Vaman therapy: 1) Vitiated and aggressive Kapha dosha is expelled out of the body, leading to cure of disease. 2) The digestion and metabolism power gets enhanced, 3) Normal health is restored; 4) The sense organs, mind, intelligence, and complexion become clear and gain strength; 5) The person gains strength, nourishment and immunity, 6) It improves the chances of fertility, virility and sexual power. 7) It helps to slow down aging process. 8) One can live healthily for long time.

Virechan

Virechan is one among the five therapeutic procedures of panchakarma. It is a medicated purgation therapy which cleanses the gastro-intestinal tract, liver and gall bladder from toxins. It also removes toxins from the blood and thus purifies the blood. Virechan is mainly indicated for the disorders related to pitta. It pacifies the pitta dosha and thus its disorders. It can be adopted as a preventive procedure in

sharad (winter) season as it is the season of aggravation of the pitta dosha.

Virechana Therapy is recommended and is highly beneficial for the following:

Virechana karma or the Purgation therapy is highly recommended in case of diseases of Pitta dosha aggravation or vitiation like
Inflammations, Jaundice, Ascites, Skin diseases, Piles, Liver/spleen diseases, Heart diseases and Constipation, Chronic Fever, Diabetes, Asthma, Skin disorders such as Herpes, Paraplegia, Hemiplegia Joint disorders, Digestive disorders, Constipation, Hyperacidity, Vitiligo, Psoriasis Headaches, Elephantiasis, Gynaecological disorders etc.

Basti

Basti is described for diseases with imbalanced Doshas having predominance of Vata or for diseases with Vata imbalance alone, It is the best among all treatments. It is of three kinds- viz Niruha also known as Asthapana Basti Decoction enema decoction mixed with salt, honey, ghee etc is administered. Anuvasana also known as snehabasti ghee, oil, fat etc are administered. Herbal oils such as Narayana Taila, Herbal ghritas are more commonly used for this purpose. Uttarabasti administered through urethral route.

Being the most effective therapy and technique to allay the aggravated Vata dosha, Basti karma provides much relief and cure in a wide variety of diseases. Nasya

Nasya is one of the 5 panchakarma (Ayurvedic detoxification therapies) techniques. It is the application of herbal substances into the nose. The nose is the gateway into the head, the sinuses, and deeper into the lungs.

Nasya karma commonly cures ailments like hairfall, cervical spondylitis, frozen shoulder, migraine headaches, sinusitis, memory loss and epilepsy.
